Chino Wood Flooring is a wood flooring company in Chino, CA, with more than 20 years of experience sanding, repairing, restoring and installing hardwood floors. We work in single-story tract homes from the 1970s, in newer two- and three-story houses, and in townhomes and condos, and we spend our first visit finding out what a floor is made of and what it sits on before we talk about price.

Our customers are homeowners, landlords and people getting ready to sell. Some call about a floor that has cupped after a leak, some want the carpet gone, and some simply want a worn floor to look new again. The work changes, but the order we do it in does not.

That order comes from what goes wrong when it is skipped. A floor glued to a damp slab cups, a thin veneer sanded too hard shows its core, and a board replaced over an active leak fails again. Most of what we do before the first sander starts is there to prevent one of those outcomes.

Our Approach

Worker laying out loose oak boards across a room to blend their color before installation in a Chino house.

We check before we promise. The house’s build year is confirmed before any sanding, because the EPA lead-safe rule covers paint disturbed in pre-1978 homes.

Concrete slabs are tested for moisture before an engineered floor is glued down, and the reading goes in writing against the NWFA guideline. On an engineered floor, we measure the wear layer before offering a full refinish, since a thin veneer cannot take one. When a floor has water damage, we confirm the leak source and take moisture readings before replacing any boards, and we document the damage room by room for the adjuster.

We also try to make the work easy to live around. Finishes are chosen to fit the South Coast AQMD Rule 1113 wood coatings limit, dust is contained, and every job comes with a written cure schedule so you know when rooms, furniture and rugs can go back to normal. Stairs are quoted by the tread and riser rather than folded into a square-foot price, and for a townhome or condo, we check association rules and approvals before any flooring is ordered.

What We Do

We refinish and restore hardwood floors, repair damaged boards and subfloors, handle water-damaged floors, install solid and engineered hardwood, lay parquet and herringbone, convert carpeted stairs to hardwood treads, and replace carpet and builder-grade flooring with real wood. If you have a floor that needs attention, request a free estimate and we will come out, measure, test and give you a written quote.
